Appearance- Zodi is about average height with a slim build and long hourglass figure. She carries good posture, which makes her seem a little taller than she really is- which is about 5’3”. Her skin is soft and crème colored- a light golden in the summer, because she tans easily, but it doesn’t stay long. Light brown freckles fleck her shoulders and cheekbones. Her face is oval and her features soft. She has a small nose that is slightly upturned, and lips that always tend to be a soft pink color despite the fact she never wears lipstick. Her lower lip is noticeably larger than her upper one, almost making it seem like she’s pouting. Her eyes are large and round, and maybe a bit too far apart, but it’s not all that noticeable. They’re a muddy emerald color, if you look close enough- mild green with a ring of gold near the pupil and blue around the edges. She has dark brunette hair that curls into locks of ringlets and falls just past her upper back. Sometimes the curls are tight together, and other times it’s more wavy then curly. It all depends on the humidity. Zodiac wears sundresses, and usually doesn't bother with shoes. She also enjoys wearing flowers in her hair, and weaving crowns out of ivy.

Personality- Zodiac is very curious, and although not adventurous in the risk-taking sense, something draws her to wander and explore. She is usually quiet and shy, not bothering to go out of her way to meet new people. She can hold a decent conversation with people she feels at ease around, but tends to speak to strangers with awkward, choppy, sentences. Her innocence often leads people to assume her naïve, but she is actually quite intelligent and knows a lot about how people function. She seems distant at times, and often drifts into deep thought and daydreams. Her actions tend to be even more cautious and reserved around strangers, in fear of making a bad impression. Her personality can be described as quirky, saying the oddest things, and having a unique outlook on the world. A lot of the time what she say's may not make sense. Her actions even less so. She does peculiar things just for the sake of it. Not many people get to know her well enough to see her caring, passionate, open-minded side, but its there none the less. She prides herself on being very accepting of all different people and ideas, and very open minded. Her emotions can sometimes be quite fragile, and she gets upset easily when those she cares about don’t show the same care for her. As a result she generally doesn’t form close relationships with anyone- rather keeping to herself. She is also particular about how things are organized, and it distresses her when things are dirty or not in the correct place.
History- Zodiac was born in Ost and cared for primarily by her mother, since her father was an Official and always away. She was carefree, even more so as a child. She never had any friends around, but it didn't matter too much to her. She would have tea parties with her toys, collect odd things like buttons and spoons and display them proudly for her mother to see when she arrived home. As soon as she learned how to read she became an avid reader- years ahead of other girls her age. She would never go anywhere without her favorite story and stuffed cat. The days her mother would take her into the country for picnics. She just adored the birds, flowers, the warmth of the sun, and freshness of the air. She spent hours daydreaming in the meadows, only to long for them as she returned home. As she grew she was blissfully unaware of her father's murder, and growing unrest among the Ost government. She now had a two year old baby sister to play with, making her deaf to the mumblings about her family being traitorous to the King. She didn't notice how some of the soldiers glared at her as she dragged little Rosemary around to look at the window shops.
That was all about to change as the winter of her seventh year gripped the city. In the middle of the night she was awoken by the Ost Guard, who had been sent to kill her family on charges of espionage. Two men had grabbed her mother, and another had her little sister. The last thing she heard her mother say was run. She mouthed the words, eyes pleading. She couldn't loose any more of her family. And Zodiac ran. A thin layer of snow had fallen on the ground, and she had nothing but her nightgown to protect her from the cold night. She found her way out of the city, but didn't dare to stop. She ran until her throat was raw with cold, and her feet numb. She collapsed there, underneath a large oak tree in the middle of a field.
And then she woke up. She wasn't sure where exactly she was, but it was warm, and bright. She was lying on grass, only is was long and green, not the dry, brown, stubble she fell asleep on. For a moment she thought she had fallen asleep while on a picnic with mum, and it had all been a dream, but she was nowhere to be found. Frantic, she paced a small distance from where she had woken up, searching for any sign of her mother or sister. Then she thought perhaps this was the dream, and willed herself to wake up. Nothing happened. She wandered around in a daze, for who knows how long, and eventually found herself at a small stone house in a copse of trees. No one was inside, but there was a perfect little bed, and a dresser full of clothes that were her perfect size. The cupboards were stocked with cookies and sweets, and there were a bunch of tiny tea dishes stacked on a shelf. There was a bookshelf where she found all her favorite stories, along with quite a few that looked interesting. Realizing that she was quite tired, and had been sobbing for hours she curled up on the bed surrounded by stuffed animals.
As time went on she grew accustomed to the odd world she had arrived in. The cottage changed every once and awhile to fulfill her new needs, but she didn't take too much notice. She stopped trying to find her way back to her mother and sister, and took up her new role as princess of this odd new world. Her world. Where she could spend days roaming the countryside, picking flowers, having picnics, swimming in the lakes, reading to her heart's content. Occasionally she wanders far enough that she finds herself back in reality, and she's learned to tell the difference. Between her world and the real world that is. She's talked to a few people in the real world when she finds herself there, but never tried to find out about her mother, or get back to the city. She always ended up back in her kingdom of blue skies and warm air. Some days when she longs to see a new face, she'll find herself crossing paths with the odd traveler. When she wishes for lace to make a new dress, she finds it in one of the dresser drawers.
Its hard for her to be unhappy in her world, when she always ends up finding what she's looking for, but sometimes a strange feeling comes upon her, and she finds herself wishing. For what exactly, she doesn't know, but nothing in this world has been able to fill the empty spaces she feels inside.
Other- She has a reoccurring dream about riding a train through a field of violets.
