Appearance- Magdalena has natural charm, with her long legs, slender fingers, and slightly curvy figure. She’s only about 5’2” with deep red hair that falls to her mid-back. Her face is rounded, with almond shaped eyes the color of ashes. Her nose is small and close to her face, while her lips are plump and a light shade of pink. Light freckles are spattered across her cheekbones, and the ridge of her nose, adding to her childish appearance. Her tips of her ears peek out from her thick locks of hair, which she always keeps well brushed, and puts up in a bun while working. Her fingernails are round and white, always clean, and her shoulders are also dappled in small freckles that contrast her pale skin. Just the look of her is soft and helpless, leading people to want to protect her. She prefers to wear white dresses, fringed in lace, and the occasional bow in her hair. Sometimes she’ll wear a small necklace, but usually doesn’t bother with jewelry or makeup.
Picture- Maybe later.
Personality- Relatively reserved and well mannered, Magdalena is good at making polite conversation and meeting new people. These traits are left over from her early childhood in a very aristocratic family. She’s generally one to do what she’s told, and takes pleasure in completing the simplest of tasks. As a child she was taught to restrict her emotions. She never cried out for attention, or when she wanted something. She never complained, or even thought about what she wanted. She just went along with the nurses that pulled her from place to place- telling her what to do. To this day, she still retains some of these qualities. She smiles politely at jokes, and frowns at bad news, but rarely feels or let alone shows strong emotion. However, she can be very sympathetic towards people, and is in no way coldhearted despite her seeming lack of emotion or aspiration.
History- Magdalena was born into a very wealthy and powerful government family. She rarely saw her parents, and was taught from a young age to control her every emotion. She wasn’t to complain if she didn’t like something, and only to do what she was told. Being that she already had a compliant nature, this came easily. She was schooled from the age of five and until the age of thirteen by a kind old woman named Mrs. Hampshire. She spent most of every day with her tutor, who became almost like a mother to her since her real parents were never around. Maggie was an avid learner- as reading was a way to escape her monotonous life. When she was thirteen she was given a new tutor, and if she expected the same kindness from him, she couldn’t be more wrong. He was much younger than Mrs. Hampshire had been, with dark hair and cold grey eyes, and he was relentless in his demands. No matter how hard she worked, he never seemed satisfied. She controlled herself though, and never showed how much she wanted his approval. The man- Quill Darestein soon realized how eager to please she was, and didn’t waste a moment in taking advantage of it. Magdalena knew not of resistance, or self-will. All she knew was that her whole life she had been taught to listen to her tutors and the nurses and the maids, even if this new relationship with Quill felt wrong somehow. After awhile she realized she was afraid of him, and what he would do. When she was sixteen, she became a nurse, and tried to get as far away as possible. She spends most of her time in Ess, working in local hospitals, and trying to wash away her past.
Other- Often lets her mind drift, and can be seen staring longingly out her bedroom window.
